Review
I once bought this book because it was on the recommended reading list of a priest from Brigid course in Nederweert.

It is a superficial book about Brigid for beginners. Mari Silva sometimes mixes up stories, for example the stories about Saint Brigid and the Goddess Brigid and that of the triple Brigid as three sisters and the story about the triple Brigid as Mother, Daughter and Wife. According to Mari Silva the triple Brigid contains three mothers... (p.27-29).
On page 28 Mari Silva writes about that 19 priestesses of Brigid kept the eternal fire burning and that the Goddess Brigid mainted the fire the 20the day. Only one historical text mentions the eternal flame being maintained by nuns, not priestessen, (The 12th century text "The History and Topography of Ireland" by Gerald of Wales, 67-69); there are no ancient texts about an eternal flame from before that time, as this book would have us believe.
Mari Silva also sees no similarities between the father of the Goddess Brigid (Dagda, a leader and among other things connected to Druidism) and the father of Saint Brigid (Dubthach, a leader and connected with Druids) but even mentions this as a difference between the two (p.25).
In Chapter 4, Mari Silva describes Brigid as a loa from Haitian Vodou: Maman Brigitte.
Chapter 5 also discusses the animals associated with Brigid, Mari Silva mentions the serpent as one of the most popular animals on page 51. I haven't encountered the serpent anywhere in the ancient texts about the Goddess Brigid, and only once in all the ancient texts about Saint Brigid, where Saint Brigid punished two nuns by turning their bread into snakes, and then later turned the snakes back into bread...
At the back of the book, there are largely references to websites as source material for the book. A somewhat superficial, quickly written book that adds nothing to what you can also read about Brigid in other books.

Mari Silva has written and self-published a few hundred of books in just a few years. According to various review sites, these books have been written by an Artificial Intelligence. My advice: don't buy any books written with artificial intelligence! This one, in particular, contains many errors and complete nonsense!
